Her birthplace was Santa Monica in California on 26 November 1986. Her father Vincenzo Barba is her mother Valerie Barba. Her family and she moved into Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was 6 years old. She finished her high school education within New Jersey at Red Bank Catholic High School. Following her graduation of Catholic University with a Bachelor's in Architecture She continued to pursue her studies at the school. Also she started playing the violin around the age of four and was known as the Violin Girl. It was because of her ability that she got under the title Violin Girl. She also taught the violin to children in the area. For the sixth season of American Idol, she sang Free in the year 1976, at which time she was 19 years old.
